Reception Administrator - Senior Role 

Pounamu Apartments is seeking a confident and motivated "Super Star" to join our small team. We pride ourselves in offering focussed Service Excellence for a mix of our long term tenants and nightly guests. 

Located just a 10 minute walk to the heart of Queenstown, Pounamu Apartments is rated Qualmark 5 star, with 70 luxury apartments and studio rooms overlooking the spectacular views of Wakatipu Lake and The Remarkables.

You have the responsibility of creating the all-important first impression to our guests. You thrive on meeting and exceeding expectations. You are articulate, resourceful and empathetic and will be responsible for Reception and the Guest Services team. 

You will enjoy working in our busy and varied Reception focused on all areas of this operation including responding to and processing enquiries, Guest arrivals and departures, Reservations and Guest services. You will welcome our Guests, present our apartment services and escort them to their apartment. 

 

Other Duties 

Completing accounting, audit and general office and administration duties.

Responsible for selling Trips & Activities and meeting key targets

Meet, greet and take care of suppliers and visitors (phone / face to face)

Training/coaching Reception Team

 

Skills & Experience

Minimum 2 years experience in a busy office environment, strong attention to detail and highly developed administration/organisational skills at a supervisory / managerial level

Ideally have 5 star Reception and administration experience.

QT trips/activities knowledge an advantage

Exceptional computer literacy skills - Room Tracker & RTBS experience an advantage

Ability to think "outside the square"

Initiative to complete a wide range of administration tasks to a high degree of accuracy

Flexibility to work rostered hours between Monday to Sunday, 7am – 9pm

Outstanding customer focused and service skills is your key strength

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills via telephone/internet/face to face

Ability to prioritise, multi task, problem solve and remain calm under pressure

Impeccable personal presentation and grooming

A team player with a positive "can do" attitude

Sound problem solving ability with initiative and judgment skills

Skill & Personality testing will be part of the interview process.
