Enquiry Turn around Guarantee: We Guarantee an “Enquiry Turnaround" time of less than 12 hours or you will qualify for a 10% discount!

Deposit Policy

  • A deposit of 30% is required upon registration when booking direct to confirm your reservation.
  • The balance will be debited to your credit card on the morning of the day of arrival.
  • Non-refundable Bookings: Full payment is taken at the time of Booking.

Cancellation Policy

Please understand that due to our size, cancellations affect our business significantly.

  • Bookings can be cancelled or amended up until 7 days prior to the day of arrival.
  • If cancelled within 7 days prior to the day of arrival, the total amount will be charged to the Guest.
  • Cancellations are not permitted for Non Refundable Bookings (e.g. 30 Day Advanced Purchase, and other special offers).
  • Pounamu Apartments is not responsible for differences caused by currency fluctuations or for bank charges arising from any refunds.
  • Special conditions apply to Group quotations/reservations.
  • Reservations made through certain third party websites and travel agents are subject to Pounamu Apartments cancellation policies.
  • Early departure/no show: If you depart early or fail to honour this reservation for any reason, you will not receive any credit or refund.
  • We are regulated for a max of 2 people per bedroom (this includes children older than 12 months). If additional people arrive that are not confirmed when booking, you will need to pay for an upgrade to additional bedroom/s. If there is no more room availability, there is NO refund for the entire booking.

Check In/Out

Check in 3pm onwards. At the time of booking please provide us with your estimated time of arrival. An early Check In cannot be guaranteed but we suggest you come to Pounamu Reception upon arrival in Queenstown and if your room is ready we will check you in. If not we can store your luggage for you. Check out is before 11am on the day of departure. Please contact Reception / Guest Services for late Check Out rates if available.

Bedding Arrangements

Pounamu Apartments is regulated for a maximum of 2 people per bedroom (this ncludes children older than 12 months). If additional people arrive that are not confirmed when booking, you will need to pay for additional bedrooms. If we don't have room availability, there is NO refund for the entire booking.

  • There is no capacity for extra beds in the bedrooms or Apartment.
  • Standard bedding arrangements is a "King" size. Prior notification for changes to "Singles" is required or a “Change Fee” will apply if advised on arrival.
  • Maximum 2 people per 1 Bedroom Apartment or Studio Room. Maximum 4 people per 2 Bedroom Apartment. (Exception 1 child under 12 months is at no charge).

General Booking Information

  • You must be over the age of 18years to make a booking with Pounamu Apartments.
  • Travel Insurance is highly recommended for unforeseen circumstances.
  • Our policy is to hold credit card details at the time of arrival. Any breakages, damages, missing items or additional cleaning or other costs including lost or non return of keys will be charged against this card. In the event of no credit card we require a bond of $300 payable by cash or direct credit which if there are no deductions the bond is refundable, after the Apartment is checked on the day of departure.

Other Information

  • Minimum night’s stay apply over various peak times.
  • Office hours 8am to 8pm, for late Check Ins please contact Reception prior to 8pm on day of arrival.
  • Porta Cot hire. One off fee $25.00.
  • High Chair hire. One off fee $25.00 Breakfast Baskets are available at $13 per person.
